“In the state of health the spirit-like vital force animating the material human organism reigns in supreme sovereignty. It maintaining the sensations and activities of all the parts of the living organism in a harmony that obliges wonderment. The reasoning spirit who inhabits the organism can thus freely use this healthy living instrument to reach the lofty goal of human existence.”

what is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is one of the most effective medicines available to us when used accurately. It acts to stimulate healing and restore the whole person to health in a way that other types of medicine do not. The medicines are prepared from substances found in nature that are highly diluted, making them among the safest medicines available.
The practice of homeopathy is based on an observation called the law of similars - a natural phenomenon that a disease may be healed by a substance that produces similar effects in healthy individuals when given in higher doses. This is in contrast to conventional medications that act to suppress symptoms by producing effects that are opposite to the symptoms of the disease. When a medicine prescribed by the law of similars is given in a highly-diluted homeopathic dose, it acts a small stress which is gentle enough not to further overwhelm the body but to stimulate the mechanisms we have within our bodies to heal.
Homeopathic medicines are prescribed based on each individual’s unique symptoms: the symptoms of the individual rather than the symptoms of the disease. Almost every person who experiences depression will find uninteresting and empty the things that used to bring them joy and fulfillment - this is not an individual manifestation of depression. Through in-depth conversation and analysis, we will uncover the symptoms and experiences that reflect your individual manifestation of illness and guide us to your homeopathic medicine to help restore within a state of health and wholeness.

history of homeopathy
Homeopathy as a system of medicine was developed by Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) based on observations from nature. Homeopathy as a concept existed before Hahnemann, but there was no systematized way of discovering homeopathic medicines and prescribing them to patients. Hahnemann observed through his research that a plant called Cinchona, which was used to treat malaria, actually produced symptoms similar to those of malaria when taken in high doses. He began testing the idea that this phenomenon extends beyond this one plant through experiments, called provings, in which he and his colleagues took doses of various natural substances and recorded common symptoms that they experienced. As a physician himself, he began realizing that he was getting better results in practice when he prescribed these substances to patients who were experiencing symptoms similar to those that the substance caused in his provings. Hahnemann later came to realize that preparing these substances in highly diluted forms could produce the same results without any toxic effects. Our homeopathic study has since expanded to include over 3,000 remedies from plant, mineral and animal sources.

homeopathy and mental health
Homeopathy is one of the best options for healing mental suffering and restoring mental health. We all have complex, intricate stories, traumas, beliefs and emotions tied into our struggle with mental health that make our condition unique to us. Homeopathy honors that individuality. Finding the right homeopathic remedy for you requires a doctor who listens and has the skill to help identify what characterizes your experience from others’.
Homeopathic medicine is whole-person care. Mental illness affects us in so many ways and layers of our lives. It impacts and is impacted by our physical health. It affects the way we interact with the world around us. Homeopathy recognizes that people respond as a whole to disease, and thus, the appropriate medicine must act on the whole person.
Unlike many medications, including antidepressants, mood stabilizers, antipsychotic and anti-anxiety drugs prescribed commonly for mental illness, homeopathy does not cause side effects or long-term risks. It offers a gentle and safe yet powerful approach to treating mental illness through stimulating your body’s innate ability to heal. There are no interactions with drugs, making homeopathic medicine an ideal way to stabilize moods while initiating a gradual medication taper as appropriate.
Homeopathy works. I help people at every stage of healing, from those looking to avoid initiating conventional medications to those who have tried every option and still have not found relief. Psychiatric medications work by altering the balance of neurotransmitters in your brain, an oversimplified and often ineffective way to conceptualize the treatment of mental illness. Homeopathy treats the underlying susceptibility to disease rather than suppressing symptoms while bypassing the root cause.
“Homeopathy was nothing short of revolutionary. It brought together a new level of scientific method and objectivity with a profound respect for the inherent ability of the organism to heal itself. It depended not on changing theories and discoveries, but on the observations that each individual manifests illness in an individual way. It utilized this observation in a system that brought unparalleled results.”
